We had our first organizing call on August 27 with a diverse group that included screen stars Jason Winston George (“Grey’s Anatomy”); celebrated actress / singer / activist Shari Belafonte; actress Michelle Hurd (“Star Trek: Picard,” “Blindspot,” and “Law & Order: SVU”); and actor Boris Kodjoe (“Love and Basketball,” “Soul Food” tv series and “Station 19”).
